The pay isn't too great. Part-time Game Advisors start at minimum wage, and even management doesn't get paid too wonderfully. If you don't like sales this is not the job for you, sales are the #1 priority at every store and the Game Advisor position is a sales position, not just customer service.

45 hours minimum for store manager, but cheap on hours so sometimes you may work 12 hour shifts or 6-7 day weeks to get job done because you are responsible for everything getting done even if there are no hours for employees to be with you.If there are not enough hours for a manager meeting, they will force you to schedule your off day on the meeting day and forfeit the day off. With the hours being so low (even in REALLY busy locations) , you will often have single coverage shifts This can be dangerous because Gamestop deals with high dollar sales. Management is quick to forget when you have been #1 in sales for weeks if you , say, have a messy counter one day from a busy shift or large shipment. Also, it is VERY numbers and goals driven, so if you don't want your job threatened when you have a low week in reserve or subscription %s (even when you have normally done well) then this job is not for you. Also, if a customer has a complaint...they will write you up.period.There is no circumstance that they will not take the customers side. You aren't even allowed to hang up on a customer that is cussing you out or saying sexually explicit things to you. If you do so you can get fired.
