Uncomfortable Environment Forced Me Out

-Customer can be awesome -Your learn a lot -Scheduled hours are reasonable when you can get them

Cons

-My experience at the my location was one of a uncomfortable hostile environment that was fostered not only by more senior co-workers but management as well. They will allow you to be talked about inappropriately while simultaneously holding you up as the person everyone should avoid being. If you aren't part of the clique you can be sure you're being talked about. -Your hours and thus your paycheck will be dictated on your ability to meet sales goals as an individual. -This is far more a sales job than any other retail job if you're coming from that world. -Dealing with customers who think you're just a pawnshop.

-you can meet pretty cool people and talk about cool stuff, even beyond video games

Cons

GAMESTOP SCREWS OVER EMPLOYEES AND CUSTOMERS AT EVERY TURN BECAUSE THEY ARE BLEEDING MONEY. you’re never given the resources you need for the projects you’re given. you’re expected to do the work of two people alone and tend to customers because gamestop doesn’t allocate enough hours to managers to be able to cover the shifts well enough. also the pay is Absolute BALONEY.
