Pros

if youre a nerd, this is the perfect place to work, conversate with customers about gaming topics and much much more including movies, cons, etc.

Cons

pay is not the greatest, but if you can work your way up the totem pole, pay isnt too terrible. just got promoted to sga in a matter of 2 weeks, if you work hard and have good numbers, you will be rewarded.

Pros

You get to work with video games. If that's your thing, it's a way to be close to it. My GameStop also had pretty flexible scheduling. The employee discount isn't big (15%, if I remember right) but if GameStop is already a store you shop at, it helps.

Cons

Pay was low, and hours were few. I ended up feeling uncomfortable constantly having to push customers to pre-order games and order subscriptions to Game Informer. Most of what you end up doing is stocking shelves and alphabetizing. Their prices are high, and the trade-in values offered by the store are terrible. It's hard lying to consumers when you suggest that it's a "good deal".
