Pros

Fun interaction with customers If you love video games, you are surrounded with content you enjoy

Cons

The company becomes increasingly disconnected from what originally made it a great place to shop. Pressure to hit unrealistic and sometimes irrelevant metrics from corporate trickels down to the DM level, making the DMs intolerable to work for, and the stress of needing to sell a mother a magazine subscription and a Call of Duty pre-order when she just wants to buy her 8 year old a birthday present makes all the store level empoyees look like idiots and sleazes, when really they are just being forced to do things they never envisioned when being hired.

Pros

Good benefits, mostly positive and energetic environment, success focused atmosphere, rewarding team and customer experiences. If paired with a good leader you get amazing training and recognition.

Cons

You will overwork and get under paid, very slow and cumbersome advancement even for highly skilled leaders, you will find rules don't apply to all leaders equally, executive level is highly out of touch and great talent often falls through the cracks or leaves for upward mobility/better compensation.

Pros

Easy to start. It was a lot of fun and easy work before you get into management.

Cons

Management is abusive. I dealt with multiple sexual harassment cases for being a female in a male work environment.
