Pros

Unlimited Paid Time Off (but you won't use it) Remote work Other jaded employees that understand

Cons

The company is a mess. It has been for years. If you are good and have some sense, then you will not be at Greenway long. Standards of employees are increasingly declining. It is almost as if they want dumb employees to tell what to do while being underpaid. No one really knows what is happening in their own departments, let alone another department. I would not want to be a client of this company, a patient of the client, or an employee ever again. I do not feel as if Greenway Health is going to be prosperous or have any longevity if things do not change soon.

Pros

The only pro is that I am no longer there and can put this experience far in my rearview mirror.

Cons

Working at Greenway was hands down the most disappointing and regrettable professional experience I've endured in my nearly 30-yr career; and the margin is not even close. - The CEO is not properly engaged, invested or capable of righting the ship (e.g. Search "Greenway Health CEO Libel Lawsuit - November, 2019"). - The entire C-Suite left the company in the last 6-months including: (President, CFO, CGO, Sr. VP of Product, VP of Customer Operations, and several other Sr. Leaders across the organization). This is cyclical and commonplace at Greenway. - The EHR software product itself (i.e. Platform, Functionality, and Updates etc.) are abysmal and serve as the crux of most customer escalations (e.g. Search "Greenway Health Department of Justice Settlement - February, 2019" or "Greenway Health Fraud Class Action Suit - March, 2020"). - The most disjointed organization I've worked for (i.e. People working in silo's, no collaboration, inclusion, or transparency etc.). Each day was complete and total "chaos" to the likes I've never seen before. This renders even the most capable and qualified leaders completely ineffective. - Corporate culture was toxic and appalling. I am of the opinion that much of this stems from lack of leadership and direction from top-down and significant gaps in talent, training, and pay from the bottom-up. - The overall business and financial acumen of the workforce at Greenway is inadequate at nearly all levels of the business. Imagine if you asked a class of 9th-graders to run a business and make “business decisions”...That’s essentially what it’s like to work at Greenway. - Good people leave, fast because they are "educated", "talented", and/or have "options". The rest make up who Greenway is today; a lost and spiraling company on its death bed. - HR was disengaged, fledgling, and unprofessional. I actually had a Sr. Talent Business Professional make a blatant gender-discriminatory statement (more like a rant) to me while I was here (documented, with a witness). I contacted an Employment Law Firm shortly after and it was explained to me that since the discriminatory statement was “not directly aimed at me", there wasn't much they could pursue from a legal standpoint. In all, it was reprehensible.

We are sorry to hear your experience working for Greenway was disappointing. The organization has gone through change and turnover, as you mentioned, and we understand this can be difficult. We strive to create a positive working environment — one that is free of discrimination or harassment, as outlined in our employee handbook — and we encourage employees to communicate with their managers or the Talent department. We also provide a hotline that allows employees to report behavior they deem inappropriate or in violation of Greenway’s policies, anonymously if they prefer. The wellbeing of our team is of the utmost importance, and we are glad to see this reflected in other reviews on this site. Thank you for your feedback.

Pros

Greenway can be a great place to gain work experience after college or build your resume to move on to something better. You will get lots of experience, resume bullets, and interview discussion topics from how many projects and impossible situations get thrown at you. I worked with some excellent, very qualified colleagues who I greatly miss. The ability for remote work or working from home is hard to beat. You get free food every once in awhile if you are in an office.

Cons

The company is so unstable in that there are constant layoffs (of good resources making a little too much money) and constantly changing SOPs, just to name a couple of things. In fewer than 2 years, I had 3 different managers due to layoffs and restructuring. Additionally, managers have no product knowledge and sometimes limited industry knowledge, so it becomes impossible to balance their nonsensical policies while serving the customers with integrity. There are so many great customers who are providing quality heath care and doing their homework with the EHR, and Greenway fails them on a daily basis. They fail to retain knowledge resources, fail to provide proper product training for resources, and care more about billable hours than integrity. Greenway cannot even pretend to be consistent and stable, but they spin this ineptitude as "adapting to the constantly changing marketplace." In an open question and answer session, the new CEO seemed flippant about the layoffs, turnover, and the concerns about what the go forward EHR product was and what offices would remain open. I sometimes had to travel to extremely dangerous neighborhoods for on site visits and had to travel on weekends without floating holidays or extra PTO. The bottom line is that there is no respect, no organization, and the decent resources that are left are too overworked to make a difference. The pay below industry averages and the high deductible health plan (as many others have mentioned) also show what little respect Greenway has for employees.
