Pros

Relaxed dress code. Decent hourly pay. Flexible scheduling when they were in a good mood. Competent funding and underwriting departments.

Cons

Loan compensation sucks. Branch managers are your loan officers and use a disproportionate about of branch resources for their own loans. Yelling and cursing was a regular occurrence. They work you to death but walk in late and leave early. Management style breeds resentment.

Pros

Great benefits, good exposure

Cons

Loan Officers Beware!!!! Guild will have you working your butts off to get leads, then they will take that database and work it against you when you leave the company.....they will send out emails with your email and photo and when you click on the link it will go to another loan officer......that’s stealing your name and customers that you have worked hard to obtain.....

Pros

My direct team was great to work with.

Cons

Hands down the worst place I've ever worked. I came into a toxic environment and was treated terribly from day 1. I was eventually let go due to making a fatal error, but in reality one of the LO's made the error and blamed it on me. Senior Management didn't even take the time to interview me about the incident - they just took the word of the LO. I should have known they wouldn't have integrity during this incident as they had hired my replacement prior to my release and assured me of my job security. Even going as far as to tell me I was performing well. I was harassed and micro-managed by Senior Management daily, and had even filed a complaint with HR that was never addressed. They even went as far as to fight me on unemployment benefits after wrongfully terminating me. Aside from my personal experiences, the LO's treat the rest of the staff like they are their slaves, and management encourages this. They offer sub-par training and reprimand you if you don't understand something; due to the sub-par training. The system doesn't make sense and isn't intuitive at all, making it cumbersome to get anything done. The Underwriters aren't given the tools to underwrite loans properly and it ends up taking weeks to clear conditions and move forward. All in all, this was the worst working experience I've ever had.
