Pros

Generally a flexible a team oriented environment (if management likes you). Opportunities to grow but positions are limited. Fun place to work for fashion lovers. Birthday pay and benefits are some of the best I have seen offered in retail.

Cons

Gradually has lost its appeal in being fashion forward. Same recycled items you notice year after year each season. Too many bad external hires and not enough time invested in training. It seems like all they care about is availability and low pay for sales advisors. Hard to get anyone that has a decent work ethic to stay if they are hired externally. Tries too hard to act like competitors but missed the mark. Has an archaic POS and back of house store operations system. The culture and values did not exactly hold up to the company standards at my location.

Pros

Employee Discount is 25% and that is all.

Cons

BEWARE! There is no defined shift. Never 2 days off in a row. Can't use PTO without at least 50 day anticipation. No vacation on Holidays, Understaffed, Overworked. Factory of Broken Dreams. Pros

The health insurance was FANTASTIC. Good PTO.

Cons

The people at H&M US are amazing but the company constantly restructures. The restructuring always results in layoffs. I had to reapply to keep my job countless times. Every time the workload increases because people get cut. At a certain point the culture suffered, regardless of how amazing the colleagues were. Not worth staying for the stress. Certain positions are also not paid per current market value which was frustrating for growth and development.
