Pros

Other employees are nice... However, managament will play employees against you... destroying any respect between the employees and team leaders.. thus, why they go through so many in 3 months..

Cons

This position is all about kissing up to the management in Utah. They care nothing about the people or the clients. They go through several Team Leaders every season. Over the past 5 years they have yet to find anyone that is willing to stay for this position. Manager will belittle you and expect you to do the same to the other employees. Management is the worst Ive ever seen. You are promised much in the beginning yet are never able to receive those benefits as they let each person go just before being able to achieve the benefit. Therefore, the top management in Utah receives the bonuses not the Team Leaders that worked so hard for them.

Pros

Flexible work hours, but working 7 days a week It used to be a pro that we were more independent workers with regular clients, but it changed into every client is just a number and switched to another tax pro at will of the DGM's mood swings. "You are disposable" attitude Finally got new phones so we didn't have to listen to ring all the time If you like learning about taxes, the work is interesting

Cons

Aggressive and threatening emails that put everyone in distress Negative leadership style Low starting pay When first hired there was no upfront assistance most of the time but that did improve Expected clients to only send docs through the Myblock app at one point, when a lot of the clients that came in barely knew how to use their phones. Have to sit through the ID.me stuff when people need IP pins and walk them through Focus on upselling instead of doing the taxes correctly. Too much workplace drama that didn't get handled correctly Retail tax office, I think the respect is lost in the format. People complaining to get discounts etc.
