Pros

Best people to work with Amazing brand with lasting power Caring supervisors who listen You really can control your own destiny

Cons

I wish more folks understood the true meaning of being a publicly held vs private company and how that impacts our business. The seasonal nature can be challenging and requires strong leadership.

Pros

Lots of opportunity to move around the organization from field roles to corporate roles.

Cons

In seven years, there were five different CEOs. Constantly changing vision made it hard to know what success looks like as a field leader

Pros

- Decent hourly pay ($14.50/hour in Tax Season 2011) including 1.5x pay overtime - If you have a decent technical aptitude for computers and don't mind some pay for the first half of the year, this job can fill that role.

Cons

- Overtime is mandatory (50-60 hours) and can be inconvenient if one is expecting a 40 hour week. (However, you are warned of this from the get-go.) - Work hours can unexpectedly fluctuate depending upon caller demand. - If your performance isn't up to par, expect to be cut after the initial 4-6 weeks of the main tax season.
