Not a great place to work

Pros

Flexible work hours. I was lucky to work with some friendly and helpful people at my location.

Cons

Office hours changed day to day. Staffs didn't get along. In my location, even one tax professional got fire because she'd argued with our office supervisor.

Pros

Flexible hours and education classes.

Cons

Worked many dead hours to cover the shift because we had no CSP in our office. Retail managers who was hired for marketing had done nothing much for our area marketing. I have increased the revenue, clients numbers, higher NPS & product attachment and reached EA after my third season. I was told that my pay next year would be lower than my first year's wage. Remind you all, your wages - commision = comission after the tax season. Being a hard worker at H&R Block does not mean anything to the upper management.

Pros

Offers the best training classes in the industry. You are allowed and encouraged to take the time needed with your clients.

Cons

Some members of Management spend too much time on issues other than on employee development.
