      Great software - horrendous management

      Pros

      Their professional tax software is very complex. You had to challenge yourself to know everyth ING you could relatred to the software as well as the tax talk as well. Some great people are there and tons of knowledge too. Benefits are decent and unlimited vacation.

      Cons

      Management is a joke. There are sooo many managers around and trend to micromanage what you are doing. Watch your back and be careful what you say to people. They don't have your back or best interests when it comes to work.

      Pros

      The friendships you make with other employees is nice.

      Cons

      The pay is awful. The company itself is too demanding and asks way too much of you. Example giving you no other choice but to extend your daily hours work from say 9-5 to 9-9. They spend millions a year on management companies to to tell us what to do and pays their staff minimum wage and charge their client huge prices. It's like the upper management in Kansas City is pocketing all huge bonuses and paying their employees horribly. The upper management micro manages to an extreme. The employees are supposed to market daily. It's very tacky like stand on the corner and hand out flyers, go to parades and hand out flyers, talk up taxes with all you encounter always. Every year tax pros come back they are paid less than the last year, 80% of lasts actual pay.

      Pros

      There are great people in the field. The field District Managers are horrible - the Regional Managers are liars.

      Cons

      NO benefits. NO vacation. NO paid time off. Pay terrible. We were told what we would earn in bonuses if specific numbers/goals were met - and NO ONE was paid what was promised. This is theft! There is no excuse for this.
