Pros

Gaining experience and schedule flexibility

Cons

The company has no soul, they charge customers, including the elderly, outrageous amounts and then pay their employees barely minimum wage. It was frowned upon to take breaks.

Decent people, but the company is behind the times

Pros

Flexible hours, decent training, nice people

Cons

Poor pay, out of date marketing. The company (like other companies in this business) is losing customers at an alarming rate. It's a hourly rate against commission, and it's difficult to earn more than the hourly rate given the loss of customers.

Pros

Pays well depending on who you know. If you get with a good team stick with them they will support you and bring you back.

Cons

H&R Block is light years behind in employee policies, employee appreciation and technology systems. The HR environment sucks for associate relations and they do a poor job of hiring within the company
