Pros

The Income Tax Course was absolutely phenomenal, it taught me everything from Tax Theory and Tax Preparation, to the Client Interview Experience and more. Working as a Tax Pro with H&R Block is a Great opportunity to gain Client Service Experience, Cashier Experience, Tax Experience, and surprisingly Marketing Experience. It's also a great way to start making connections to people in the area and develop those relationships. The possible commission after the first year is nice, especially with certifications you can get during the off-season. H&R Block offers continued tax courses for a one time 20$ fee for the entire year which is a great part about the business, especially for those who want to gain advanced tax knowledge.

Cons

My Community Service Leader (office manager) was terrible, and this isn't the first instance of a bad CSL. With H&R Block, they give you the tools, the experience, and above all else, the education, however if they give you an incapable CSL like mine who has no idea what shes doing, it can be a major hindrance on your potential to excel as a Tax Pro. It should also be noted that the flexibility is limited and the "ideal" schedule is rarely achieved. Beware: my CSL forces me to do sign spinning (with dress clothes and tie in the hot Florida Sun) and flier handouts, regardless of the terrible crime rate in the surrounding location.

Pros

This company is innovative, dedicate and about helping America rather than just to get them as clientele. H&R Block truly does care

Cons

The only con that I can think of is that we charge for 1040-EZs now
