Pros

Co-workers are generally friendly. Flexible with schedule.

Cons

Very much focused on numbers, numbers, numbers. Management has increasingly adopted more micromanagement tactics in last year. It seems like an aggressive sales job without the compensation. Cant speak for all departments.

Pros

Decent pay for the position, not much skill needed, other than the ability to follow directions precisely and communicate well with employees and clients. It's okay to set your own work hours, as long as the work gets done and you're available when employees need you, sometimes on very short notice. Supportive and pleasant group of Office Managers from other, nearby locations, meet on a weekly basis. Very well organized training and guidance, there is a system for every aspect of the business.

Cons

Scheduling metrics were constantly changed by the corporate office, making it difficult to establish and maintain employees' schedules from day to day, let alone week to week. The requirements often clashed with the specific needs of the branch. You're on call 7 days a week, open to close, having personal plans during the tax season is not really feasible but it's only for 4 months, a fairly small commitment. Some of the systems were too restrictive and inefficient, leaving little room to use your own skillsets to lead effectively.

Dissatisfied

Pros

There are a few decent benefits, even for the seasonal employees. Some of the employees are nice and eager to help one another.

Cons

I waited nearly two months to start working after already being hired. Higher ups ask intrusive questions about the privacy of one’s schedule. My manager feels like a ghost.
