Pros

I started at the bottom in this company as a CSR taking calls, and have worked my way up to a nice salaried position. They turned a job into a career! Lots of opportunities for promotion for anyone motivated.

Cons

Wages and salaries are on the lower end of the scale.

Basic Contact Center Job

Pros

I worked for this company for almost 20 years. If you're looking for an easy way to make (some) money and have patience then this is a great spot to work. They offer remote work from home positions if you live in certain areas, however most training needs to take place in center. The people are friendly, the building at the OP location is updated, and most managers do try to work with you on any issues that arise. It's a basic contact center position and depending on the client you are lined up with will decide your happiness. They like to promote from within so if you are dedicated, goal driven, make it to work every day, and have a decent head on your shoulders then you have pretty good chances at promotion. While every one enjoys getting their butt kissed by employees it doesn't bode well if you are looking to be promoted, it's an annoying trait in someone looking to move up. You really need to know your audience - whether it be the customers on the phone, middle or upper management.

Cons

Base pay hasn't changed in 17 years. What used to be a primo place to get hired because pay was $4-5 above state min wage, is now just min wage for most accounts. To stay on top this company needed to continue raising pay to keep their high standards of service. While the managers will try to do everything they can to help out front line employees, they can't always do anything they still have to work with upper management to try to make special accommodations and it doesn't always work out. This was never an issue with employees who understood company policies more, until more recent years and is most likely due to the newest group entering the workforce being less willing to work within the guides. And may have some to do with the pay being too low for them to really care to follow the rules.
