Pros

Get a good workout Fun people to work with No thinking is required (if you're into that sort of thing) They hire just about anybody with a pulse

Cons

YOU ARE EXPENDABLE Management does not care about you, your family, how long you've worked there, your goals, or anything about you. You are a number, and if you do not produce results within a certain timeframe, you will be fired. No questions. You will not start on first shift, and it will take years to get off of second/third (whichever you start on) Who buys cards anymore? Not exactly a stable future.

Pros

There is only one pro I can think of and it would have to be the no supervision and flexible hours.

Cons

Company does not invest in RM training but write you up for not doing the job properly. Company expectations are unrealistic vs time allowed. Territory Assistants show a total lack of respect and get angry and write you up if you make mistakes. The company does not provide RM with manager for complaints. Hallmark's expectations are totally unreasonable versus the amount of hours they give you to complete everything. They give you a manual and tell you to read it and then do the job, without any hands on training. If I could find another job, I'd quit in a second because I hate the way Hallmark is set up. Also, Walmart management is horrible to RM's and complain about everything, even taking pictures. I used to have a great deal of respect for Hallmark and after working for them, I won't even BUT one of their cards. Also, the amount of waste that goes in the trash is despicable!! Many shelters could use some the of product they make us through away everyday. They should at least give a portion of it to their hard working employees who make it possible for Hallmark to continue to stay in business.

Pros

Good people. Was a good place to have a long career in the past. Lots of learning opportunities in the past. Years ago it was a dream job. I have so many awesome hallmark friends for life!

Cons

Very very cliquish leadership in creative. They only invest in a chosen few. As the category declines and they do their cyclical culling they cut departments that make product while keeping and investing in departments that are leadership pet projects. They kill off product with a past of good performance because it isn’t their personal taste. The job was amazing for many years and I am grateful, just sad to see the mismanagement. I still have such a beloved hallmark family. I’m glad hallmark was part of my journey and also glad it’s over.
