Pros

*Great people working there at the company

Cons

The training is too much. You have quizzes and they treat it like school. Plus you MUST pass their exams. I feel as though they do not give you a chance. It is not good

Good morning, Thanks for providing us with this feedback. I am glad you had a great experience overall. Our training is extensive in order to provide the best service to our members and clients. Our trainers work very closely with our new hire classes - as such, our failure rate for these exams is extremely low. I am sorry your experience was not great. Thank you Howard Mintzer, Director HR Business Partnership

Pros

I've been employed with Health Advocate since 2009. I started off as a temp employee and have worked my way up. The work this company does literally saves lives. The healthcare system is so complex that people need help. And our team of experts knows the ins and outs of the system to get people the help they need when they need it - no matter how long it takes! When people ask me where I work, I'm always proud to say "Health Advocate." The path to promotion, the pay, the culture and the benefits are all great. My managers have always been supportive and open to listening to new ideas and rewarding hard work. They also make sure you have just the right work and life balance! There's a gym onsite, a cafe with plenty of healthy, low-cost food options, and fun events. The employees and managers are dedicated to helping people. I wouldn't want to work anyplace else!

Cons

A bit far from my house, but I can work remotely on occasion.

Company going downhill

Pros

Despite the negatives listed below, there are some great things about being a Customer Care Associate here. -Generous PTO (160 hours at 1yr anniversary) -Only need to request PTO one day in advance -Can adjust schedule by up to 4 hours in any given week, for certain reasons -Free Coffee -???

Cons

Health Advocate now requires employees to work an extra half hour every day, and doesn't pay them any more for it. Turnover rates have shot through the roof in the last year, they cannot even hire enough people to keep up with it. Employees are asked to do jobs far outside the scope of their training or experience, then penalized when they have no idea how to do these jobs. Employees are expected to only take 10 minutes of bathroom breaks during the day. They all abuse this excessively. As far as I can tell, management doesn't realize that people defecate because that alone can take more than 10 minutes.
