      Pros

      Inside sales job with the promise of making a lot of money during AEP.

      Cons

      Company is not sure what it wants to be when it grows up. Has a lot of growing pains. Promises new leads on opening day of AEP and there's nothing. Promised at the interview that they were the number 1 lead source so why are they buying leads? Carrier contract should've be signed and solid before AEP. It happens the same time every year. A lot of cold calling, Was promised that there would be people waiting on inbound but it is skewed to certain veteran agents. Two weeks into AEP and already laying off agents. It's a commission against the draw meaning that you could owe the company thousands of dollars before you hit your quota and bonus. Prediction that 70 of the brokerage agents will be laid off in December after AEP is over.

      Pros

      Great place to work and make a rally good income while assisting clients with a wide array of insurance products. The company culture is based on good work ethics, teamwork, competition, and fun. You truly have the ability to set your own income level and feel good about your accomplishments.

      Cons

      No entitlements. You have to be willing to learn, apply what you've learned and put in the hours required. You must be able to adapt to changing insurance regulation as needed.

      Thank you for your positive feedback. As you said, the income level is set by the individual, and while working hard, I do agree that we are engulfed in good work ethics, teamwork, competition and fun.

      Pros

      I have been at Health Plan One for 2 years. The culture is wonderful, and HPONE gives the opportunity to get licensed as a health insurance agent to those that are not licensed which is HUGE. There is room for advancement at the company and they have good products

      Cons

      The salaries and commissions are below average for the industry and some people leave because they can make more money else where.
