Pros

A good place for beginning health insurance agents to get health insurance experience, at their expense, and I mean their "expense".

Cons

This company over promises and totally under delivers. When one is interviewed they are asked "how much money do you want to earn". This is where the lie begins. If you swallow this you will in all probability be blown away. The lie is "when open enrollment begins you will not be prospecting but soooo busy writing policies that if a customer asks you questions about plan information just tell them to go to an online source and call back when thy are ready to enroll". FALSE. I spent hours along with others calling leads that were stale dated and as a result had a 98% + ratio. Good agents left in droves when they were pressured to make gold from straw. They pay you a decent hourly wage for 2 months and then a "stipend" which has to be repaid or netted against your production. Agents wound up like college students with debt because of low production. They do not train anyone how to use their specialized software. It is learned by the grope method. This is a very poorly managed company with high expectations from agents with mediocore support. A very low percentage of agents make the lions share of the money. I could go on for several more pages but you get the idea. BEWARE OF THE WOLF.

Pros

Great Company To learn the ins and outs of medicare. Get license get some practice and get out. trial by fire basis you get to practice finding your nitch on leads, Very flexible on hours and good co workers and management when not micro managed

Cons

They Pay outside of AEP is not great, They over sell what your true potential to make. The only people who make money at this company work 60-80hrs a week when you break it down your better off working a non sales hourly position you would make the same if not more. The commissions are low for being 100% commission job

Pros

Great work life balance. With in reason they will work with you to help you accommodate work life balance. Management will work hard to fight for you when needs be, fellow brokers are friendly and is over all a great place to come to work everyday. The CEO/Owner is great, very approachable and friendly! Insurance Carriers do treat us well with catered lunches and free swag from time to time. Office has great intensives (however take FOREVER to get them). The money is what you make of it here. The more hours you are willing to put in the more money you can potentially make.

Cons

More, HONEST & OPEN communication. Upper level managment to lower level management. To many cooks in the kitchen in this company. We need less BIG money salary positions and more "Worker Bee's", to grow put your money in your Agents and watch the wildfire grow. Needs to be more open with what and where the company directive is going and forth coming with up to date information. A lot of sneaky stuff happens to employees who are hired during AEP season. So if your looking for a short time investment its worth the wild if not stay away from being hired during AEP. They do thin the staff a bit to much during the off season. The goals and quota are a bit unrealistic, as they tell you if you do X,Y, & Z, you will obtain goal and when you do said things it doesn't happen and now your getting a written coaching. The atmosphere has changed since they became more micro managed and less Broker/Agent focused.
