So far so good

Pros

Paid training, flexible schedule, paid drive time and miles between clients, the company wants you to become a registered behavioral technician and will help you to do so.

Cons

Training felt crammed into a short time, better communication would have shown training time to actually be more flexible, but I didn’t realize that until I crammed 40+ hours into a week.

Pros

The kids and peer colleagues who support one another through the madness.

Cons

I’ve never worked for a more disorganized company. I can’t even say that communication is poor because communication is nonexistent. Executive leaders tolerate and promote toxic team members and punish hard working employees who actually care about their clients and staff. If you reach out for support, to HR, RDQs, RDOs, or any exec team member you are typically ignored or gaslit and punished. So many leaders actively bully, manipulate, and exploit staff. They claim to care about clinical quality and staff development but they only care about billing. The turnover rate is alarmingly high, which is a pretty clear indicator of how little they care about their staff. I had to start going to therapy because of working here. Sunday nights had me in a state of panic because I was so worried about having to deal with them. My life has changed for the better since leaving.

Pros

The job itself is great. The kids, families, and coworkers make it worth going.

Cons

The CEO acts like he cares about his employees - he does not. He could care less about his original clinics and what goes on there. As long as the site is making money the clinic could be falling apart at the seams. He asks for suggestions but whenever employees give them to him, he shuts them down.

Helping Hands Family Response

We appreciate your feedback. We take pride in maintaining a positive clinic environment and conduct regular checks to identify areas for improvement in the facilities. We believe in open communication, where everyone feels heard and can contribute. We understand that not everyone is comfortable with this form of discussion, but it leads to meaningful action. For example, thanks to RBT feedback, we implemented a career ladder in January! Tangible results for both clients and team members are essential to us. Our belief is that if we take care of our clients and team, the business will take care of itself. We appreciate your openness in discussing your experience and will continue to develop ways to include everyone in our continuous improvement discussions.
