Think twice before working in this company

Pros

Benefits are great, no denial on that.

Cons

NO LIFE WORK BALANCE Even if you think like " no pain, no gain" at the end is not so worth it. They might acknowledge your hard work, but working 12 to 16 hours a day would get you sick and kill your passion for hospitality. But if you become good friends with upper management you will grow really fast, but at the cost of what? Lots of favoritism, again if you become friends with upper management, meaning "lots of kissing a#@!$", they more concerned about themselves than the guest itself. Now they are asking to start reviewing the company and put 5 stars and write excellent comments, that means they know what are they doing and trying to cover up. Policies are not apply fairly at all, again is all about favoritism.

Pros

Great benefits. Great Parties. Free lunches.

Cons

Corporate has their favorites. If the favorite doesn't like you... you will probably get fired. HR will protect the company, not find middle ground for the employee and their manager. Cannot trust HR. 3 jobs for one person.

Pros

Convenient Location is the only pro I could mention.

Cons

Has there been a movie with a similar title, if not I'd recommend to film one here. My interviews were cancelled about 8 times and all of them last-minute. I got an offer after about 3 months of back and forth. I left another job to start working for Highgate. After 2 weeks (9 days) my manager told me I don't work there anymore, because I was hired without the budget for a position. I really felt that the first hotel had great team, but the fact they didn't do anything to keep me, didn't reach out after they transferred me proves otherwise. The other hotel I was moved to was a job from hell. Everything was unorganized. There was no orientation or on-boarding, no introduction to other departments, no welcome e-mail. The department leadership was weak and very micro-managed. Within 3 weeks no e-mail accounts have been set up for me. I would not recommend any person to work for this company. There is no family feel to work.
