      Toxic Corrupted Environment

      If you prefer collecting a check over collecting unemployment, work for this company.

      Cons

      Between arrogant (Mr. know it all GM), corrupted Director of HR, and dishonest controller, the property is basically under siege and not a single person from the corporate office is aware of how corrupted and toxic the whole place is. And no one in the property is able to confront the huge wave of corruption. Inequality is the least problem you could face when you work for Hyatt Arlington. The moment you object the corruption in the property, everyone will turn against you and it would be your word against the GM, controller, and HR, so you can imagine what would happen to anyone try to come clean or be a whistle blower.

      Some great coworkers but they all left after a year

      RUN. Worse working experience I've ever had. A lot of the same themes echoed by former employees regardless of location - nepotism, promotion of absolutely incompetent people, corrupt/unethical business practices, toxic favoritism but watch out they will turn on you the moment they need to protect profit/self-interest, do not trust leadership, will backstab and throw you under the bus to protect themselves. a lot of your time will be spent stroking egos/coddling emotionally fragile leaders instead of doing actual work you were hired to do. hours are relentless, expectation is 24/7 availability. no work/life balance. you are disposable to them.

      Pros

      Lots of discounts and great coworkers, charity is amazing!! The nepotism could be decreased a bit but hey we all want to see the best for our family so I get it.

      Cons

      Our hotel Row has been through a lot of ups and downs but a bad disease has returned.... After more than 12 years with Highgate though most things don't surprise me, it took years for them to catch on to the GM who was sleeping with the staff at Doubletree met and now here comes another snake who was here prior and didn't work out, now here again......Just focusing on my guest and hope to not have to interact..
