Pros

Great perks, awesome co-workers, and financially stable.

Cons

Cut-throat- they fire you without even seeing it coming, executive's have no clue what is going on company-wide, lack of communication between managers & Executives. The politics are harsh here.

Pros

Typical startup perks: catered lunches, activities like happy hours and outings, and usually your co-workers are pretty cool. Good place to land for a while before you get a better job.

Cons

Management's hiring/promotion strategy is based around nepotism and incompetence is rewarded. You'll rise through the ranks if you're a "yes man" or a micromanager. Company values are meaningless fluff. If you raise concerns or objections then management acts like you're unable to keep up with a so-called "hyper-growth" startup. Check out reviews of the iOS app if you want to see how product is shipped at this company -- it's a joke.

Unprofessional Management

Pros

There are some great people that work at this company, although I'm not sure how long they'll stay. The product itself is good. Free food is cool.

Cons

Honey has hired new senior management who are extremely unprofessional. One day you'll be brought into a meeting with HR to be shown the door. It's clear that senior management wants to make sure that the lamb doesn't see the knife, and they're on an a firing spree. Any promise of growth is just a carrot on a stick until they can you.

We don’t take employee departures lightly at Honey and have a process in place to ensure that managers provide employees with coaching and constructive feedback. This is also something we're actively trying to do more of, more frequently. We want to build a company where people work hard and are excited to be here and grow with us. There are going to be times when someone is not the right fit for Honey and we’re not the right fit for them. When that happens, our goal is to be as respectful and fair as possible, which means doing what we can to help someone transition onto a new opportunity.
