-If you're judging companies by how they responded to COVID-19, they're at the bottom of the list. The company claims it is a "family" and that employees who work there are "family members", but is the furthest thing from the truth unless of course you're talking about the most dysfunctional family ever -high turnover rate. between employees leaving and being let go due to "budget cuts" even though the company is "doing well" - it's like a revolving door. If many people are willingly leaving a company that makes cookies, that should tell you something -ignored major concerns and red flags from multiple employees in regards to sexism regarding a recent upper management hire - the company culture is an imperfect mix of barstool sports and a frat house, which in 2021 is plain unacceptable - lack of job growth - entire c-suite, especially HR, does not take concerns seriously. They "listen" and then do nothing - Company was essentially "forced" to release a Black Lives Matter statement extremely late and only after followers on social media demanded one. This is disappointing because the heart of this company are POC who work in the various stores across the country - Simply put: c-suite is the most disorganized that I've ever seen - All of c-suite should sit together in one location, not NYC & Philly - And finally, you'll likely be hired for a position that you have a lot of experience & expertise in which then you will never use because C-suite knows best! - Avoid, avoid, avoid!

- You're told you make your own schedule. Guess what? You will be actively on-call from 8am to 4am the following day. Say goodbye to your personal life. - Absolutely zero support from your regional manager, and you will not have an assistant manager. Good luck doing it on your own, it's 24/7 stress. - You will spend a week in Philadelphia to get training. You will learn very little, and when you come back to start managing your own store you will feel lost and unsupported. - Your clientele will consist of completely insufferable people. Drunk, high, rich, snobby college kids who will make you feel less-than. You've got thick skin? So do I, it really gets to you after a while. - The salary offered for this amount of responsibility is nothing short of insulting. - The turnover rate at Insomnia is the highest I've ever witnessed at any of my previous places of employment. There's a plethora of reasons why, and the corporate office does not try to improve on any of them.
