Pros

Dedicated folks in social work programs, PACE, Friendship Line, Connect, Education and Elder Abuse Prevention. People working long hours, with not much opportunity for advancement or pay raises (some not for years)

Cons

Don't need both a CEO and COO. The CEO makes too much money, and his job (as well as his vision for IOA) is unclear. Home Care Dept is costly, and bleeding $.

Pros

Most clients are sweet. Employees truly care about the work they do.

Cons

Turnover is so high. Not enough support from management. No policy and procedure. Disorganized. There are a few incompetent employees that don't get fired.

Pros

flexible schedule, adequate technology, agency provides supervision for LCSW license. Agency is expanding quickly and new programs are always in development. The building is great and workspace is nice. Working with individuals in need is extremely rewarding, and this agency is a good place to come right out of school.

Cons

It used to be the case that peers and colleagues were extremely talented, capable and dedicated people, unfortunately they all quit. Individuals hired to replace them don't meet the previous standards. The workload is unreasonably high and much of the work is extremely redundant. Limited access to employee development and educational opportunities. Beware of steep learning curve.
