Pros

Very little anymore, but they have decent time off benefits.

Cons

Recently bought by a group of finance chuckleheads who have closed various offices and done three rounds of layoffs all for the sake of milking the stone. Couple that with a focus on a horrible ball of spaghetti ruby code with a broken master branch almost hourly.

Pros

High salary. That pretty much sums it up.

Cons

They lie to you in the interview. They advertised themselves as "The Kotlin company", yet they have millions of lines of Ruby legacy you have to work on. No one tells this to you in the interview. This is especially bad in Hungary since there is no market for Ruby. Every second you spend at this company is a waste of time. The management is horrendous. There is no vision for the company. There is a WTF for every day of every month. Just to name a few: - One of my colleagues received their salary in USD instead of HUF. The currency was messed up but the number was the same. (They received 300x the amount) - They decided to ditch a monitoring software for another overnight and we were flying blind for 2 weeks - We were not able to create a Git repo for weeks because of a wrong job title in the system The list goes on. On the other hand, if you like kafkaesque situations and work environments give it a try, you'll have fun.

Pros

Good Benefits and the people that you work with on a day to day

Cons

Instructure was great place to work at one point. Now is just a place for the executive team to parachute with golden packages and allow the employees to hold the empty bags of ruthless choices management has made in the last year. It all started when Goldsmith joined the company from bringing in his sister (smart move .. NOT) and adding overprice executives to a company that was going to be sold in 8 months… Instructure core business is money .. management lacks experience and commitment to customers and employees
