I am not someone who writes negative reviews often or if it all, but IWG has by far been the worst company I have worked for in my professional career. Prior to joining IWG, I had received an offer from another company, and I highly regret not taking it. There was no disclosure about the fact that IWG does not offer annual merit increases. I never thought to ask because I have received an annual merit increase at my previous companies. As someone who supports themself and with the rising cost of living (inflation, rent, groceries, etc.), I depend on those merit increases, as would anyone in this challenging economy. After I was made aware of the fact that there were no merit increases, I endlessly began searching for a new job. The job market has been absolutely awful over the past year and a half, and I had no luck securing a new position. I had no choice but to take on 2 part-time jobs working nights and weekends. Let's be honest, no one in their right mind wants to work multiple jobs simultaneously. I was left with no choice because I was in survival mode and have bills to pay. When my department began hiring additional Lease Auditors, I saw the job posting online with a higher salary listed than what I was currently making. I confronted management about this and about raising my salary, which they did but not until 5 months later. Meanwhile, new team members were coming on board at a higher salary while I was still waiting on my increase. That would not sit well with anyone. The company does offer an annual bonus, but it is a "retention bonus." Basically, it means they will take it back if you leave the company before the end of the year. Again, this is not something I have experienced at any other company or have even heard of. Bottom line, IWG does not care about its employees and has no interest in paying them fairly. But they want you to go above and beyond and bring forth savings for them. Corporate greed at its finest. Management is narcissistic, pompous and egotistical from the top down. Savings and pipeline are shoved down your throat constantly. Even if you find decent savings, it is never good enough and they always want more. There are excessive meetings about nothing throughout the week, even on Fridays. If you want people to be productive, just let them do their job and audit. It is truly a shame because when I first joined this company, I had a great manager and team. Then everything changed. Management and this company overall will never have your back. If I can help anyone with this review, do your due diligence and go to a company that actually values and appreciates you.
