Pros

Pros? You are the pros at handling crappy situations with no support from management or corporate. In fact they work hard at making your job less efficient and more frustrating each day!

Cons

Cons? IWG are cons and they con the customers and the employees! I warned you... This is the shadiest and most ruthless greedy company I have ever worked for. They don't care about anything other than squeezing every cent out of the customers by whatever trick they can play, while taking the joy out of the job by micromanaging their associates with infinite chaos and unmanageable tasks. My biggest regret is not leaving sooner for a company that respects its employees and doesn't cheat its customers. You will just be a firefighter with a water gun trying to put out massive fires and a punching bag for angry customers. HR and the executives are a mafia of protection for the upper crust while the associates are bullied and shamed.

Pros

The pay is better than a regular receptionist. Upward mobility is possible.

Cons

Although it's a customer-facing role, there's actually very little you can do for customers. It's all being handled by employees who are remote and understaffed. We are just the middle men. Therefore, any customer inquiry will be handled in about a month or two, and they can't agree with what is the right policy or procedure for it. If you care about the services you are providing, this is not the place for you. Sometimes it feels like your just a collections agency, and just there to suck ridiculous money from clients. The prize for a big competition recently was a trip to see the CEO at his mansion... yeah, no. This job is just a stepping stone into some other place.

Pros

Very diverse The benefits are very

Cons

You will be severely underpaid. $15/hour when other SMALLER companies pay you 40k-50k + uncapped commission for the same position you do not get paid a % even though you will bring in between 300k-800k of revenue per month. Example you can sell an office with a very high contract value but only get paid $25 for it, it's a joke. There is no culture at all The #2 sales guy left without putting a two week notice a few weeks back, leaving his commission behind. What does this tell you? that even if you're in the top 5, the lack of transparency and respect will make you leave regardless of how much you're making There is two sales managers who overlook the only two North America teams One is incredibly lazy, only gets by doing the bare minimum and the other teams beats him every single month. He's also the manager who's lost around 7 people in this past year alone The second manager is just borderline disrespectful and is known for making racist remarks in the past. He is rude and has made employees cry. The sales director is very sketchy and will reassign leads/opportunities to only certain people, the top sellers. When contact is low you will see the same people have monster numbers while the whole floor suffers. The Latin America manager has an open case with HR because he treats his employees like trash Sales director refuses to hire a new North America manager, so his solution was to put English speaking agents with Latin American managers who speak broken English The systems rarely ever work. You will have clients not being able to pay for services and this is how YOU get paid. Your mental health will suffer greatly with this company So many people want to leave but IWG loves to bring up that their pay and benefits are out this world and they brainwash you to think you're only good enough for this job They love to make fun of WeWork when Regus has very sketchy tactics to get clients. Regussucks.com was made my clients and employees who have been severely affected by this company The reviews are true, take them seriously No one wants to work in the customer service department (Account Helpdesk) so the sales people will get cussed out constantly When you quit, they conveniently will ask you for an exit interview 3-4 months after you leave We never get announcements of change on time Because the systems don't work, managers will have you do extra work like sending tour confirmations manually, filling out a spreadsheet on whether you called your pipeline or not. The dialer never calls people on time but the expectation to stay on the phone is the same Their favorite word is "push through" but can you push through when it's years and years of systems never working and millions of dollars wasted on CRM that doesn't work or communicate with our other systems The biggest disappointment is the Sales Director. He used to be an amazing understanding manager, but ever since we became remote, its almost like he flushed all empathy down the toilet and all he cares about is numbers and money. Compensation plans change all the time. Regus said that they've made monster amounts of money during the pandemic but our paychecks didn't reflect that. You will be under the impression that you will make a certain amount, for that to change a few months after Do not fall for the attractiveness of WFH. It's only amazing when the company you work for cares for you, and IWG isn't that company.
