Pros
Good compensation package and benefits, continuous learning opportunities allow employees to grow with the company, good flexibility and work-life balance. People are friendly, encouraging and team-spirited, everyone pitches in when work needs to be done to achieve a common goal.
Cons
When I started at JenaValve two years ago, management was misaligned and there was a power-struggle at the top. The prior Quality and Manf. leadership outsourced most of its work to unproductive or unqualified consultants and OEM's and didn't hold employees accountable for deadlines and performance. Many employees were hired directly out of school or with limited experience in a Quality-driven organization, and were not able or willing to perform their own job tasks, or were inflexible in adapting with company needs. It took awhile to change company culture and weed out the bad apples... leading to poor employee retention for awhile. Things are picking up, and we are now a high-functioning organization who achieves significant milestones quickly.
