Pros

Lots of young graduates in the office gives the office environment a lot of energy

Cons

Intense pressure to deal with the large workload led to staff stigmitizing my medical conditions. The culture in the office is heavily focussed on getting as much done as possible. Staff weren't provided with adequate protective equiment. While working in the Dublin office there was a mechanical failure in the building which created a lot of noise, no PPE was provided. Management threatened to increase my workload to an unreasonable level if I did not quit voluntarily.

Pros

A great office environment with a balanced mix of sociable young engineers, friendly supporting staff and experienced managers who always take the time and make the effort to help all members of the team professionally and personally. On the job training from day one allows new design engineers to gain valuable experience on large scale projects across the country. JGA is a great company for those looking to make an impact in an increasingly important industry. Well payed job, with excellent career progression opportunities.

Cons

There is much more emphasis on fire engineering post-Grenfell, resulting in more work than available engineers in the industry. Although management do their best to control the quantity of projects being taken on, at times it still becomes very overwhelming.

Pros

I left Jeremy Gardner Associates a few years ago and worked there for 1 year and 8 months. My only reason for leaving was to move my career towards I.T. which I had become more interested in, i’m now working in software! I had a good experience working here, they were a sociable bunch with drinks at the pub on fridays the norm, official team away days and often cake in the office. They are very supportive of their new engineers, so this presented a good opportunity to progress, especially as you are given real responsibility quite quickly. After about a year and a half I got the feeling they had started to prepare me for promotion, but I left before this happened. The work is interesting and the type of projects varied. You’ll not just be getting into all the technical details but also dealing with clients and occasionally visiting projects on site.

Cons

Can't think of any! No issues when i was there.
