Pros

Flexibility in hours, working from home

Cons

Many people end up working on the same programs for years or decades, leading to all sorts of problems Quite a few managers; record of success does not seem to play a big role in their appointments or firings Every time a new trick to pay less: a few years 401k match reduced, now that's back but in 2017 variable pay (~10% of compensation) is withheld

Thanks for your comments though it is hard to respond to a couple of your cons since they are very broad generalizations about your coworkers and leaders. Regarding our variable pay it is not a trick to take away pay. It is purposely designed to be based on our business results, like most variable pay plans across industry. In good years, it pays more than target and in bad years less… in one business the bonus paid close to 150% followed by 0% the next year. No tricks to that just inconsistent performance! - Paul (Human Resources)

Pros

Co-workers are very friendly and amazing, the work is challenging and always keeps you on your toes. If you ever need help you will always have someone willing to help make sure you don't fail.

Cons

Old warehouse building without windows makes it a little dull but it's workable. Could use a better leveling system as it seems to limit progression at a certain point.

Pros

There are AWESOME people that work there. I feel sorry for them

Cons

It was shared by the new CEO that the "Old Kodak DNA" needed to be removed - by gawd I feel sorry for anyone over 40 whom is still there. THAT is sad commentary. I worked with a fellow, a millennial who would stroll in around 10 am - declare that he was all caught up and no work needed to be done and it was time to go home and bailed around 3 or so, this happened quite a bit......well kids if that appeals to you by NO means SIGN on up for this company cuz you can fleece them HUGE for your hours. The rest of us were appalled that not only he did this but his manager allowed this. The building is HORRIBLE, the parking INSANE - now they are moving in 18 months - The folks from HR will tell you this, they will blow this smoke up your nether regions - but what they aren't going to tell you is the company is moving to California. By all means if that floats your boat please pursue this useless dead end company that has decided to model themselves after their parent company and manage the business through attrition. Oh you might not get popped now - but you WILL get popped - hows that for employee motivation?

We do have a lot of awesome employees working here and unfortunately we also have some awesome former employees that due to business changes we have had to let them go as we reshape ourselves for the future. Part of that change involves expanding where we are located, we need to move beyond (but not abandon) our heritage in Rochester, NY. We cannot be narrow in our thinking, so in the US we will hire talent in places like Boston, San Francisco and …Rochester! A company's DNA includes its vision, values, foundational business goals and our customers. Kodak Alaris' Values are to be Trusted, Nimble, Driven and Creative. Our Vision is "Helping unlock the power of digital transformation in our work and in our lives, through expert imaging science & innovation." Our customers that we serve are in B2B and B2C categories -- their needs are part of our DNA. So Don’t Run, please take a closer look at who we are becoming. - Paul (Human Resources)
