Pros

The pay is decent if you don’t have a family/other obligations at home to worry about Travel is always fun The bonuses are amazing The Director really cares about the industry and is very knowledgeable

Cons

Scott Klein is completely uninvolved with the day-to-day operations of the company, massive ego Starting work at 6:30 AM and ending just before seven PM is pretty common Most of the travel is announced last minute and most team members will be gone for 8+ weeks in a row Managers are not very transparent about the travel schedule, even though they know weeks in advance Senior members are expected to be managers without additional title or pay Promotions are hard to come by; many stay in the role for several years A former member of the team is suing the company for workplace exploitation

Our typical approach to a review of this nature would be to say that we are sorry you had such a negative experience and invite a dialogue. Unfortunately, a post of this nature and the untruths therein leave no room for constructive conversation and Glassdoor allows reviews of this nature to remain truthful or not. Over the past 41 years, LanguageLine has been recognized by numerous organizations including Great Place to Work, a global people analytics and consulting firm. Unfortunately, it was not a good fit for you. We wish you well in your future endeavors.

Pros

Work from home. They pay on time. All benefits by law.

Cons

9am-6pm is call after call after call after call after call. It neverd ends unless you take your break or lunch. Yo dont even get a chance to know the person working next to you.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. LanguageLine has many partner relationships in the industry, and we appreciate all of them. Your employment relationship is with one of our partners and not directly with LanguageLine. We would encourage you to reach out to them directly and share your feedback.

Pros

Work from home, so you don't need to commute.

Cons

Low pay. HR never replies. Never knew who the HR was. The client is over you about everything. Need to work on holidays. Days off need to be submitted at least 2 weeks in advance and they can deny it.

Our interpreters meet the industry’s highest standards, earning the privilege to interpret for our clients and the communities they serve. LLS uses a strict standard of call handling protocol that has been refined over the past 41 years and has been validated by numerous outside agencies, including “Great Place to Work.” As a “Great Place to Work” we really care about our interpreters and are continuously working on improvements. Unfortunately, it was not a good fit for you. We wish you well in your future endeavors.
