Pros

Amazing mission, great benefits, remote work environment, collaborative environment, supportive supervisors and managers (sometimes)

Cons

12.5 hour shifts, high volume, high turnover, short staffed, no work-life balance, management can be very out of touch and reticent to help out. Pay is low and they don’t care.

We value our employees and are grateful for everyone’s hard work and dedication. Management is actively working to streamline processes and establish better protocols to address the high volumes and other concerns to better promote our mission and to better provide all with a healthy work/life balance. We appreciate your patience as we continue to align from our recent merger. Please reach out to the HR team if there is anything you’d like to discuss.

Pros

Surgical experience and willing to hire people with no degree or experience.

Cons

Literal wage theft. Will not pay for all hours of work. Will make you drive 20 hours straight doing recoveries with no break. If you express concerns about safety; they will retaliate against you.

We are able to recruit Recovery Technicians from many different avenues as our training program can educate anyone. We believe this is a benefit to many entering the surgical or healthcare fields. The company makes it a priority to adhere to all local and federal requirements, including pay practices and OSHA laws. Retaliation of any form is not condoned whatsoever. Even if you are no longer at the company, the HR Team would still be open to hearing more about your experience and implementing feedback.

Pros

Base pay per hour plus pay per case (so Seattle minimum wage hourly plus starting wage of $100 per recovery case). Ending pay is typically around $40ish per hour. I would recommend this job as a temporary job for someone looking to improve their medical school/nursing school application. Because of the cons, unless you're looking to run the department one day, it's not a realistic long-term career without compromising your quality of life.

Cons

Inconsistent working hours. You may get 0 cases one day, you may end up with 6 cases and a 20-hour shift another day. May get dispatched on cases that logistically don't make sense, the burden is on you to complete your cases. Example: you may get dispatched to complete a case in Ocean Shores, Portland, and Bellingham in the same shift. Only 1 person is staffed per region at a time, you're running a one-woman/man show. Can travel as far as 6 hours one way to a case- alone, night or day, rain, sleet, or shine. All work is done solo in morgues, funeral homes, and medical examiner's offices across the region, 24/7. No health insurance despite working gruesome cases with decedents.

Thank you so much for your feedback. We understand our per diem work can fluctuate. We appreciate your understanding to the structure of our work and your commitment to the mission.
