Pros

Competitive pay, time off benefits,

Cons

Terrible VP Staff, constant re-organization/layoffs, no consistency on goals, teams work in silos and no one knows performance management. I was with Sphere Entertainment in HR for over a year. Assigned to a SVP which I reported to in NY who had no idea what HR was or what we did. Within 2 months of being under him my director and peer in NY was laid off, then he reduced my labor by 60-70% of hours. The company went through 3 re-orgs during my time with them (little over a year, under year and a half). The SVP clearly had no idea how to manage the department or even performance manage his team. My remaining one peer in NY struggled and wouldn't communicate expectations but as they were located in NY, a bias was held to run teams to the NY standard. If you are thinking about coming on as a manager I would be very hesitant as multiple leaders are laid off or fired regularly.

Pros

Pay is better than average

Cons

Sphere is a nightmare. Burbank offices are run by fear. Please don’t be lured by the salary. Your sanity isn’t worth it.

Pros

The Company provides a good remuneration package and benefits. Access to discounted event tickets. Nice new office.

Cons

Excessive bureaucracy can slow down decision-making processes and hinder efficiency. Limited career growth opportunities can lead to stagnation and a lack of motivation for employees. Not learning anything new can result in skill stagnation and disengagement. Witnessing a SVP making fun of an employee can create a toxic work culture and diminish trust in leadership. The employees are afraid of the SVP.
