Pros

There are a few great people there.

Cons

Where to even begin? -Cut raises and bonuses for everyone in the zone in 2024, despite executives bragging in the Town Hall about record-breaking profits -Gave less than 5% raises to those who were PROMOTED -The company has too many systems to count, most of which are ineffective and do not speak to each other -No proper file-saving system, so you can never find documents -The Cert Unit does not do their job due to lack of training and outsourced colleagues in Mumbai. You often have to issue your own certs, which just adds to the growing list of responsibilities on your plate -The Accounting/Invoicing department also does not do their job due to lack of training and outsourced colleagues in Mumbai -Marsh is not ready for new hires when they start -Marsh provides absolutely zero training. There is no training on systems or processes, no training on insurance coverage, no training for new roles when you're promoted, no professional development, etc. -Invoicing, and any processed related to finances at Marsh are long, overcomplicated, and outdated. There are so many errors that carriers and wholesalers are fed up, but this impacts your day-to-day -Account Executives and Client Executives are too quick to go to supervisors or complain about your work, when majority of issues are results of the Cert Unit, Invoicing Unit, lack of training, etc. Because of this, there isn't a work-life balance since you're constantly having to guess what will go wrong and are worried about the next day. -Too many accounts/clients are on our plates so you cannot breathe or ever recover. There is no longer a "slow season" and you are instead always going 100 miles an hour. Adds to poor work-life balance -We are not heard when speaking up about issues -Although there is too much work on your plate to finish timely and accurately while feeling good about your work, you cannot take overtime without asking for approval. On the other hand, you are confronted by management the second they believe you cannot handle your workload. -Too many older women treating the office environment like high school and gossiping about others, while at the same office as them. -There is no culture, no company outings, no team building, etc. -Turnover is rapidly increasing (wonder why..?) -You have to pay for parking, while the company is also starting to demand you go into the office 3 days per week -Office feels like a dark cave -We are not included in carrier events, department meetings, etc. -Constantly being contacted on my days off -CEs make unreasonable promises to clients then get upset when we can't meet these unrealistic expectations -Marsh does not properly care for clients since certificates are never issued on time or correctly, invoicing is often wrong, turnover is high, things are a mess behind the scenes, etc. -Everyone has too much on their plate. Account Executives, etc. Why would we want to stay at a company where we know we have to work our lives away without seeing rewards that match this? -When people leave, half the time they are not replaced so their work is just put onto others without pay increases or a second thought by management -We are not taught about other departments at Marsh, what other roles include, etc. -Communication between different teams is nonexistent, so you often have to go back and forth with multiple different people to even find someone that can help.
