Thank you for the review. We agree that the people are one of the best parts of Meeting Tomorrow! We’re sorry to hear that when you worked here, you had a negative view of the leadership team. With three new leaders this year, we would love to get your feedback on what advice you have for the new leadership team based on your experience when you were an Account Executive. We can be reached at hr@meetingtomorrow.com if you’re interested in providing more information.

Pros

I love my co-workers. I love my managers. Everyone that works here is amazing at what they do and always willing to help one another in any way they can. The company is lead by a dreamer, who has a kind heart.

Cons

There is little to no path for growth in your career field without moving to another company. Salary increases are not easily explained by a system of achievements so you do not know how to gage your progress against a measurement of any kind. Management is not getting the value of work life balance. Every year I have worked here it has gotten less and less possible to believe that we will find work life balance. Turn over in a pandemic where we were able to hold onto every employee that wanted to stay but still have 1 in 5 of the employees be new to the company says a lot. People like Job security in times of uncertainty and leaving in a pandemic is a big risk to take to be on the bottom of the list at a new company when lay offs could happen.

Thank you for your review. We’re so glad to hear that you love your coworkers, managers and everyone else that you work with. We agree that we have some of the best team members around. We’re sorry to hear that we are currently unable to provide the growth and development that you need right now at Meeting Tomorrow. Even though we are a small company, we agree we need to find a better way for our team members to grow in clearly defined ways and that’s one of our top priorities this year. This past year has been quite a year of change for MT and we know there’s a lot more we can do to make improvements. We appreciate your feedback in relation to salary increases and we will definitely work with our managers to provide more clarity to their team members regarding increases. We know there’s more to address in this review that we’d love to chat through offline if you’re available. Please reach out to us at hr@meetingtomorrow.com and Jasmin or Talia will be in touch.

Review from long-time employee

Pros

Management really cares and employees really care about each other. Employee lead groups include: Diversity & Inclusion, Sustainability, Gardening, Fitness/Wellness, and Community Service. Beautiful office in Albany Park off the Chicago River with miles and miles of river trails running north from the office.

Cons

Management hand-holds employees. Messaging is very top-down and requires a lot of consensus from everyone involved. This can lead to messages being watered down and while always transparent, the message may not really be getting at the heart of what they are trying to address. Another con is the diversity, we have gotten better at it over the years, resources are directly applied to meeting our values on diversity, and we need to be better as well. Not just diversity in color, also diversity in opinions and backgrounds.
