Pros

Good opportunity if your career aspirations are in Sales / Store Management. Men's Wearhouse has an excellent trainging program and is willing to invest in its future managers. Good experience in managing people once you get to be a store manager.

Cons

Work life balance is an issue, guess its the nature of the business. Long hours and often have to work holidays. In the retail business you will often have to work long hours and even though stores are closed on some holidays, it will often prevent or make impossible to travel if you were not raised in the city you currently work.

Pros

If you work hard you can be promoted. They promote from within. It's a great work atmosphere with a good clientèle. The Men's Wearhouse always provides the opportunities to increase your earning potential with special promotions and special commission structures. The pay the best in the industry.

Cons

Retailer's hours are always hard during the holiday season and because of the recent economic conditions, the Sturday hours have been extended o 9 pm on Saturdays. This is very unpopular with the employees, but we will see how many they loose by this summer. During prom season the tux business gets to be a little hectic.

Pros

Knowledge about the industry is top-notch, good discounts (40%) on all items in the store, remote possibility of moving upward in the organization. Training can be very comprehensive once you are promoted to a full sales position but once they're established, cross-training them to do all the jobs in the store does not exist.

Cons

Same compensation as someone who works fast food but more responsibility on having to sell for the organization so that the commissioned people make more money, the upline managers make more money, and the shareholders make more money. Required to work with unstable brides who want everything to be perfect for their wedding, yet aren't willing to spend money on purchasing the required clothing for the groom's party.
