Pros

The employee sample sale, while poorly managed by the L.P. team in keeping out former associates with expired badges, is a real perk. Where else can you get hundreds of dollars of merchandise for $10. The flex work week and summer hours are also great, for the departments who can take them.

Cons

The corporate campus is cliquish. Many of the Directors and managers are not qualified for their positions but are rewarded for their cooperation with the hierarchy. Safety for Associates and customer is not a top priority. Certain employees are protected at all costs despite their inability to perform at even the minimal level of their job requirements. A high level of scrutiny should be applied top down and bottom up to this organization. Benefits are the bare minimum for the rank and file.

Pros

Fun environment if you like arts and crafts. Clean stores and ever changing merchandise . Flexible scheduling if you're part time or non management .

Cons

WAY, understaffed. Expectations are ridiculous with the amount of work vs the amount of help you are budgeted for. Not a lot of room for advancement .

Pros

The only positive thing that came from my experience with this company was that I quit in order to go back to college and finish my degree. My awful experience here strongly motivated this important life change.

Cons

We were made to work off the clock, with the understanding that if we made a complaint to the relevant authorities, we would be out of a job. There were rarely enough people scheduled in a shift and it was often impossible to get everything finished that we were supposed to do. (This is when we would be told to go clock out and keep working.) Management would consistently schedule me on the only day I had to have off. I made it clear before I was hired that I needed Tuesdays off for frequent doctor appointments due to ongoing medical issues. Lo and behold, I would frequently get scheduled and then yelled at when I kept explaining to them it wasn't possible for me to ever work on Tuesdays. Zero sick days. I had the stomach flu and had started throwing up about halfway through an 8 hour shift. I was told I couldn't go home. Having to continue working that day as sick as I was, was inhumane. I ended up handing in my two weeks notice shortly after.
