Their salaries are not on the whole competitive with US tech companies, especially for highly technical roles. DO NOT let them sell you on company culture (free cold brew, catered lunch, swag, sales-broy trips) alone to justify the low-balled salaries that they will try to offer you. This put me personally into a situation later on where more junior teammates (ones I trained) were getting paid more than me. This is simply unacceptable-- salary levels should be reviewed and adjusted on a regular basis. This is a widespread issue that I hope they address in the coming years. This is also why despite a generally positive review otherwise, I can't give them more than 3 stars.
From when I started, Mimecast was going through some serious changes, pushing to break out of the SMB-niche that they had found over the years into delivering leading enterprise-class solutions in email security. Along with that came some serious growing pains-- frequent changes in management along with poor mentoring and training for new managers, technical and operational challenges of scale, few (if any) established processes for aligning business goals between departments. There also remain some very strong egos towards the top that make implementing sensible technical and security improvements impossible.
