Case load is unmanageable

Pros

Full time remote work, very tech-forward.

Cons

Case manager role is hourly and you have to clock in and out daily and for lunch. They express there is flexibility, but senior leadership looks down on it quite a bit. 300+ cases per case manager. Management is inexperienced and you suffer the consequences of that. The case load is unmanageable, they tell you that not all claims require your attention every month, but their sources for clients are mainly mental health facilities and there are a lot of homeless and dire need cases and as a result, there is a very high touch level of communication with claimants on a daily basis. They have four channels of communications for claimants to communicate with case managers and on any given day you can come in to 20+ messages and responses within 24 hours are expected. This is not a role for someone who truly wants to help claimants.
