Pros

Not sure I have many memories of pros once the Arrogant CRO arrived.

Cons

Live by your values that you tout as the anchor to your company. Leadership is pompous, dictatorial, and wants you to sell a software that is antiquated which is hard to believe in. It’s a bid feeling when you have to basically smoke and mirror prospective clients to rope them in.

Pros

Great product that found a great market space for revenue management needs in the niche market. Recruiting and Hiring Process (for Life Sciences anyway) was excellent and I for one, was pleased to see the level of scrutiny in the simulation exercise to demo your skills. It's one thing to talk about them, it's another to show the hiring managers you can "walk the walk". That is key and should be continued - the HT division should do this as well. My coworkers are dedicated, hardworking, friendly, and very willing to help out. Overall, a great group of highly talented people.

Cons

Model N has a massive attrition problem that needs to be addressed ASAP. Part of this can be attributed to the constant "revolving door" of leadership that has taken place in the short time I was employed here. I've had 4 different bosses in less than 9 months. Model N has an "Identity" issue - and by that I mean, the company needs to make a decision on how it wants to be perceived in the marketplace. There's nothing wrong with having that "start-up" mentality as there are great results to be had in doing so. However, if you're approaching the 20 year mark in existence, like Model N is, and also publicly traded on the NYSE, I would think that there would be a little more "maturity" in the overall business model and organizational design. Feudalistic nature of the company. There is virtually no integration between the divisions. Life Sciences and High Tech are almost two totally separate companies and I suspect that is intentional from one side. I even had to sign an "offer letter" to move from LS to HT, which I found to be totally redundant and unnecessary. Even within the divisions, there are silos where the messaging / direction from management is often contradictory and causes confusion as to what I'm supposed to be doing in my role. React vs. Respond: There are too many examples to cite here, but essentially, Model N has a "hair on fire" approach to resolving issues. It seems that overall, the company is more concerned with sticking to timelines that weren't realistic to begin with vs. overall quality of the output. Which then leads to rushed decision-making that creates a Catch 22 when combined with.... Work/Life Balance: Doesn't exist. Now, to be fair, it depends on which account you're assigned to. But in my time here, I was either completely underutilized OR completely overworked with nothing in between. This has resulted in Model N, in my opinion, being painted into a corner by creating an environment with no work/life balance, therefore causing turnover, which in turn, leads to "hair on fire" decision-making, which causes a work/life imbalance....it's a vicious circle of which I have no suggestions on how to break.
