      Politically Motivated Leaders with No leadership skills or training create a Hostile Work Environment

      An opportunity to help the clients as much as possible.

      Cons

      Peter Principle at work. Unqualified people promoted into leadership without training or a clue. What this creates: unmanaged workloads cause never ending inability to stay caught up and supervisor blaming the employee rather than taking responsibility for an unmanaged workload (the supervisors JOB!). Blaming the employee for not knowing things that they were not trained on. Assuming the worst about the employee without close examination and consideration. Apparent radical reverse-discrimination policies enacted on senior clinicians who happen to be the wrong ethnicity. It’s supposed to be a therapeutic environment, not a platform for authoritarianism or racism.

      supervisor has done several things that would have gotten him fired somewhere else but they won't do anything about it

      Pros

      My coworkers have been great; the psychiatrists are truly amazing. A lot of people who have stuck around do so because they really care about the work they do and are willing to be abused by their employers to continue the work.

      Cons

      Having such poor supervision has taken a team with great potential and significantly held back our abilities. The boss uses intimidation and threats of firing to keep you in your place. Everyone I know on the team hates their job.
