Pros
Some people are friendly depending on your team? Traveling every once in a while? Free snacks in the break rooms? I had such a terrible experience here, so it is hard to say.
Cons
Each department is in a competition with each other, workers are worked so hard they get sick, the team I was on created a hostile work environment for me and even when reported nothing really changed, management will get mad and threaten to report you if you do not stop your life at 8 PM to read an email, micromanagement to the point of being inefficient, the recent layoff and mass exodus of good employees leaving was demoralizing. It seemed that once good people left, it was a canary kind of signal for other employees to also leave. NextGen wants their employees and clients to believe in better, but they don't take action on actually being better in both their product and their workplace. Culture is very work hard, and no play at all because you're just working. Aditionally, compensation here is lower than other similar companies, but especially low for being in tech. I left because of other issues, but the job I accepted gave me 15k more than what I was making here with better benefits. HR and Management said my compensation was fair, but they are just being cheap or they don't do their homework on compensation.
