Values are a façade

Pros

Compensation and benefits are competitive. There are also extremely talented peers across functions and consumers are passionate about the product (it's nice to work on a product that people naturally champion).

Cons

The GTM department at this company is plagued by clueless leadership and retaliatory behavior. Key functions like brand, creative (video/web), media, strategy, ops and content/comms were centralized under one volatile leader, creating extreme chaos, silos, power-hoarding and an environment where retaliation was common and HR did not intervene. Psychological safety is nonexistent for high-performing staff, and multiple senior women have left this year alone due to poor leadership. Key cross-functional partners are often excluded, overruled and undermined, and credit hoarding by people who don't meaningfully contribute to the work is severe. Meanwhile, male employees who are difficult but close to leadership at the top frequently get fringe benefits (sabbaticals, relocation, international WFH, speaking gigs) while the rest of us are scrutinized about in-office days and "unlimited" PTO.

Pros

Nice perks, decent pay, a lot of amazing people to work with

Cons

Move really fast and if you’re not working in product or sales you can feel pushed to the side and not important

Pros

Office space Top of the line benefits Generous lunch program for whenever you come in office Really great coworkers Lots of learning

Cons

Come for the perks, leave based on how they treat you. Notion takes 'culture of documentation' to an entire new level. Prepare to spend 90% of your days doing admin tasks and not actually selling. If you like pushing paper and not making commission - this is the place to go. Reps aren't given the support or guidance they need so they're just pushed out and replaced with unsuspecting people set up for the same fate. This isn't the place to make money. You'll have WLB (not enough accounts to work overtime prospecting into) but you won't see success and all blame will go to you. If you're seriously considering working in sales here, reach out to a few AEs on LinkedIn first because they can give you the scoop on quota attainment and lack thereof.
