OHU is dedicated to protecting children and strengthening families. As a NFP organization, no stockholders or owners benefit when profits are made; all of these $ stay in the organization to strengthen the organization and generate income to support future operations.

Cons

The heavy reliance on governmental funding...state and local in particular....is a risk. Relatively weak fundraising results a weakness.

Pros

Some of the youth you get to work with really show improvement. Great co workers. Schedule is somewhat flexible when fully staffed.

Cons

High turnover due to the low pay. The company is a non profit so that is understandable, but they would pay out less if they offered more hourly pay to keep staff and not have to pay so much in overtime. It takes a special kind of person to deal with the youth day in and day out and can be insanely stressful.
