Pros

-Very friendly employees, some of the smartest and friendliest people I've met. -Excellent product (Market Leader in Privacy & Third Party Risk). -Some of the best sales reps you will meet in your career. -Pretty Good Pay -Strong Inbound Lead Pipeline, usually never a shortage of leads. -Smart leadership, the company has Grown Exponentially and continues to do so from smart leadership decisions. -Free Snacks & Occasional Company Events. -Promotion from within & upward mobility potential

Cons

-Every Sales Rep is forced to take the CIPP/E & CIPM Privacy Professional Certifications which are extremely hard and require a ton of studying outside of work. Having to study for it is a distraction from your main responsibilities and negatively affects work life balance. -Since the Series A Funding, they have hired way too many Sales Reps which has diminished the once abundant lead flow. -The over-hiring of reps has lead to stepping on toes in deals and forced collaboration / deal splits. -Sales Role at OneTrust is Extremely High Pressure. -Sales reps are forced to use a scripted sales pitch deck on all demo calls and critiqued if they try to make the messaging their own or steer clear of that model. -No Ramp up quota, you are expected to hit full quota your first full quarter with the company. -Most Middle Managers are inexperienced and this leads to micromanaging of deals. -Heavy Critique and Pointing of Fingers for all lost deals (visibility at CEO level) even if the loss is due to the product lacking a capability. -Minimal Work Life Balance. -Health Insurance is Cigna with a High Deductible.

Our certification program is one of our biggest competitive advantages – it enables our employees to have deep industry knowledge and build stronger relationships with our customers as strategic advisers. We have more than doubled in size since the beginning of 2019, so growing pains are to be expected, but our goal has always been to create a positive and supportive environment to our employees. We are also dedicated to training and growing our managers through our Learning and Development series which provides the soft skills and resources needed when managing a team. We have plans to expand this program throughout early 2020.

Pros

The people at OneTrust are genuine, good, hardworking people. I had a great time making good relationships with my coworkers! My boss was the only reason why I stayed so long. The starting pay was good, the work is interesting, and it is exciting to be employed at a company that is growing as fast as OneTrust is. You definitely will get worked, and that can be a good or bad thing depending on how you view it.

Cons

No growth structure - once you start working, you should get comfortable because you won't move up. They try to make it sound like they have awesome benefits and reasons to join like being eligible for equity and whatnot, but they have a lot of fluff to get you onboarded, when in reality, growth within the company is basically unattainable. Management will start to give you more responsibilities as you are able to take more, which can be good for your professional development, but you won't get compensated fairly for it once you been working there for > 6 months.

Awesome product, not so awesome everything else.

Pros

10/10 product, certain features basically sell themselves. They have NAILED the privacy market, it's impressive, and why I decided to join the company. Really strong coworkers, OneTrust hires ambitious, young, and motivated employees. Everyone is helpful. For someone in the first 0-3 years of their post-grad career, OneTrust will offer you a ton of experience. You can get involved in all kinds of projects.

Cons

Considering the strength of the product and position in the market, benefits and culture are severely lacking. This is especially so relative to typical successful SaaS startups. Management is extremely fast to react to product and competitive needs, but extremely slow about anything related to employee well being. They can, but they choose not to. This is why I decided to leave the company. Details: -Management is heavily focused on sales staff using scripts for demos and calls. Coming from solution-based enterprise sales, this made the meat of my OneTrust role feel more like call center work. Rigid. -Zero remote flexibility and all corporate travel has to occur outside of 8-5 work hours. Get home at 2am after a delayed flight visiting a client? They'll expect you back at your desk the next morning. -Commission is paid out quarters after deal is signed (and expect to have to chase down invoices and payment from your clients if you want that $) -Lots of discussion about equity, no path to get there. Looks like they've finally added a 401k plan in mid 2019, but this was "coming soon" back in early 2018. Comp plan changed often. -Sales staff is scared of management. It's not a sweatshop, but there's an unhealthy relationship. Perhaps I've just been fortunate to work in other positive environments under strong, personable mentors, but leadership here seems way more comfortable with low-touch high-churn than trying to selectively build out a long term team. Bottom line? This place is good if you're early in your career or just love GDPR. Otherwise, look elsewhere when the recruiter comes calling.

We have just recently launched our rich Maternity and Parental Leave policies as well as our 401(k) program!
