So much opportunity

Pros

I have worked in both startups and mega corporations and have seen the gambit of what companies offer employees. Sadly, all too many companies cover up their lack of career development, opportunity for upward mobility and ability to truly be an impactful individual contributor with lots of flashy perks and claims to having a "fun culture". At the end of the day, what I care about is being part of a team where my contributions allow me to take my career where I want it to go.... trust me no amount of healthy snacks, tasty beverages or game rooms will ever compare to that! The never ending optional training and ongoing leadership/career development we get here is awesome!! Leadership team really sets us up to be successful and truly rewards hard work.

Cons

I want an OutboundEngine coffee mug... why don't we have coffee mugs?

Pros

The training that is provided daily can make any person become a successful sales person. I came in with no experience in the tech sector and have been amazed by the amount of success I have had. I have already told many friends to come on board and honestly have never worked at a place where I get along with EVERYONE!

Cons

Sometimes the ice machine runs out of ice because no one fills it with water.

Pros

Top notch sales training that will make you an awesome sales rep no matter what part of your career your in. Everyone there looks out for everybody and they urge you to be yourself. From the CEO to the office manager everyone there puts in 100% into what they do.

Cons

None, seriously though there is so much opportunity here and the atmosphere is top notch.

Pros

Flexible work schedule on the Support side, awesome training both in the beginning and throughout your career here, great atmosphere and obviously the snacks and lunch on Wednesday is a bonus.

Cons

Advancement opportunity on the Support side is currently limited, but we're growing so fast, that I don't anticipate that being an issue by the end of the year.

Pros

Great hands on training for staff very uptempo environment. You can ask any manager or senior staff member for help. Great benefits and vacation time.

Cons

Very cutthroat, they will not hesitate about cutting ties with you if they don't feel your cut out for the job at any point in time. You have to be able to take immediate criticism and may be harsh.

Pros

OutboundEngine is a great place to work. It has a great environment on the sales floor, and the overall culture of the company is fantastic. They do an awesome job at continuously having trainings to further develop your skills and the management actually cares about seeing you succeed and develop as a person.

Cons

Sometimes there are certain situations with leads that aren't handled the correct way. It comes with a highly motivated individuals, however there needs to be a better structure with lead ownership and sticking to that process.

Do Not Be Sold - Scottsdale

Pros

This is a start-up company with some great people at their home office in Austin (not Scottsdale). Snacks (not food) are offered. Great concept for Digital Marketing strategy although limited to the industries it sells to. Loud music, awesome location (Scottsdale), and good place to start career if nobody else is hiring or you can't get hired anywhere else. If you are unfamiliar with vetting leads this may be a good place to be. You can be taught this skill but not here.

Cons

This is a telemarketing position through and through. Beware the people interviewing, they are salespeople as well, meaning they will say and tell you anything you want to hear to get you on-board and keep their quota. Told you will make 100 dials a day which is OK for outbound sales call center standards. However, once your hired you are expected to make 200+ dials through an automatic dialer. This means you have no control over who or when you call people. If you are unfamiliar with vetting your own leads you might fit in here. They also say you will be taking a consultative approach to selling when in fact hard selling tactics are employed. This is not an hourly + commision position as are the majority of call center sales positions here in Scottsdale. You are expected to show up 30 min to an hour before your start time and stay an hour to 2 hours after all times. Showing up 25 minutes before 8:00 am is considered late and you will be let go. If you have a family or outside obligations do not work here. Benefits are not offered until after your first 30 days. Majority of sales companies now offer this from day one to attract good talented people. Here it is understood that the attrition rate (drop out rate) is so high that it makes more sense to not offer it right away. Outbound Engine may have a reputation as one of the best places to work for the last few years running but it is for the Austin, TX office, NOT Scottsdale. Management is by far the most unprofessional and inexperienced I have ever worked for (Scottsdale office). They will belittle you and talk down to you every chance they get and flat out lie to you and upper management just so they can keep their jobs. Coaching is completely one-sided with a hint of do it this way or its the highway. If you do not fit their way of hard selling tactics management will do everything to push you out the door every chance they get. This means writing people up for not coming in an hour early to deliberately getting little to no attention and training from managers, Last, but not least, the reviews are Glassdoor are completely biased and given by people who work mainly in the Austin office. Employees are also Told to write good reviews on on here.

Pros

The training available is the best. The trainers are great, and if you can handle it the compensation is fantastic. People who stay are usually really committed and will help you succeed

Cons

Not for everyone. You have to be able to handle a high pressure sales environment. Poor work/life balance.
