Pros

When the product works it is really slick. Also, the amount of tech tools the AE's and SDR's have to leverage for sales intelligence is pretty awesome.

Cons

It was the equivalent of working in the first half of the Wizard of Oz. Before you work there the world is in color and after you leave it's in color, but when you're there it's black and white. Directives seemed to shift on a dime with really no explanation. Priorities seemed backwards and didn't make a whole lot of sense. The sales culture is/was destined to implode; the bully attitudes that are dripping with senses of entitlement wreaks of a culture that doesn't have a true identity or idea what it wants to be years down the road; they play for today and that is it. Hostile text and Slack messages coupled with the high-burnout on the floor are not a recipe for a healthy workforce. Turnover is unlike anything I have ever seen before. The SDR's and AE's are absolutely fried. There is a comment in the "Interview Questions" section of these Glassdoor reviews in which an executive told them "This is not a lifestyle company".. This is spot-on because the design is that Outreach is your life and if it isn't then you aren't welcome there. Within 1 hour of working there I was told by my direct manager, in the most sexist way possible, that the structure of my family was a problem and he recommended a change to better accommodate Outreach. During training there was a requirement to update your personal LinkedIn headline and content to a mandated company message. This is the beginning of using our own LinkerIn constantly to push company initiatives - this is why you’ll see the exact same updates posted by Outreach employees at the exact same time. It is inauthentic and isn’t a true representation of internal excitement of anything Outreach does. Furthermore, despite a publicized initiative of “Democracy Day,” last year during Election Day, it was a smokescreen. There was an announcement that employees are urged to take that day off to go vote and volunteer in their local communities; the local news was even brought to the office to tout this noble notion.. Many departments and employees were still required to come to the office despite the news story that reported otherwise; it was the perfect representation of nonsensical gear-shifting that happens constantly there. Integrity, values, honesty, etc, are not a part of the fabric of this company. The values that are plastered on the wall are, for the most part, absolutely opposite of what you will observe on a daily basis. There are many good companies to work for in tech and this is not one of them. *I have seen at least 2 Glassdoor reviews that very closely resemble the one I am writing right now that mysteriously disappeared not long after they were posted so it's possible this won't even stay up that long.

Pros

Somehow this terrible company brings on the smartest people in tech. Also the product is fine.

Cons

Ooooo boy where do we start? Easy. At the top. Outreach is “toxic masculinity” personified with a CEO who cares about one thing and one thing only: $$$ That’s fine. Money is good. But he has said during multiple all-hands meetings over the years that he doesn’t care about employee retention; he cares about revenue. Believe people when they show you who they are, and wow, this guy really wants you to know you only matter if you make him richer. This POV has poisoned the C-suite. It bled into the entire culture where everyone is afraid to speak up for themselves or point out when the train is going off the track. The most successful people are the ones who spend all day playing politics. The individual contributors who carry the weight of the business receive little to no recognition, and are too burnt out to look for a better job. When they finally leave, they sound like me: angry it took too long to get out. Overjoyed to find out there’s an entire alumni of ex-outreachers who felt gaslit the entire time they worked there. To anyone who still works there, you can do better. Promise.

Pros

- Competitive salary, that's it

Cons

- Inexperienced leadership and there are many layers of these. - A house of cards environment where the best at politics succeed. Backstabbing is encouraged by your manager. - High attrition, makes it hard to operate predictably. - Certain managers lack integrity, they will straight out lie to you and take their words back. - Everyone is pushed so hard here, huge levels of stress make interactions toxic. - Overall a toxic place to work, trust me, no money is worth the mental pain you will go through. - Options are worthless, don't let them tell you the opposite, it is a lie. There's potential in the market, but this company doesn't have the leadership needed to "bring it home". Given all of this, the company is unable to operate at its maximum performance and even having a great market opportunity, competitors are getting closer every day. Since this company isn't able to operate functionally, and 4/5 folks I've talked to want out, I foresee a dark future, the ship is sinking and noone will be able to stop this.
