Pros

Decent pay and ability to get fresh air.

Cons

Unqualified management that offers no positive reinforcement. Constant changes to procedures involving loan processes that make no sense at all and are probably due to lawsuits that are kept hush hush. These changes take place monthly from accepting debit cards to not accepting them the next month which leads to double work for store level employees and is not taken into consideration when speaking about company goals. Corporate and upper management will not hesitate to lie for each other also in order to protect their positions. I could go on and on but I'm actually at a good job now that I need to get back too

Paranoia and poor communication all the way up the ladder

Pros

Local management is excellent. Communication is ok. CSR's and up in each store is very professional, upbeat and knowledgeable.

Cons

Training is not long enough but it is not management's fault because there is a high turnover rate throughout the company (both within corporate and local stores) because of frustration with very poor communication from the top down and the pay levels. A CSR can make more at Burger King than being responsible for thousands of dollars. Even the rules in the Planogram the company has is not followed by the state's Senior Director of Operations down. When there are visits from corporate, they say to do the certain things but when they leave, the things are down according to the S.D.O. and the Planogram is thrown out the window. (Not in all cases but most). You cannot say anything because then they find a way to get rid of you. Everyone is afraid to say something constructive and in a way to help the company make a better process of save money. In fact if a CSR or supervisor makes a mistake in cashing a check or is short money then after a warning (not in all cases) they are fired but its ok for corporate to make changes after spending thousand or tens of thousands of dollars on an idea only to change it months later. The same rules don't apply throughout the company. So what happens is blame is passed down and upper managers become yes men for fear of their jobs or smaller bonus checks.

Pros

Corporate has a good work/life balance. Team members at manager level have a strong commitment and drive to see the company succeed.

Cons

Current Human Resource Directors and Senior Leadership have their own agenda. They decrease morale and when challenged devise a way to remove the challengers from the organization. They prefer a Lemming like group of individuals. No chance of advancement if you are an individual thinker. Outlook on talent retention is not good. Talented individuals leaving as fast as they are coming in.
