      Challenging but rewarding job if you work overtime

      Pros

      The products are in an interesting field. Opportunities for advancement exist for ambitious individuals. There are many intelligent employees working for the company and working with them can be rewarding.

      Cons

      Work/life balance does not exist for the majority of employees. There is a tendency for management to be secretive and actively pursue people that talk about the state of the company (mushroom in the dark situation). No opportunities for additional training or career growth.

      Pretty interesting industry - average place to work

      Pros

      Huge potential market abroad. Company hardly laid off people in the current downturn, putting more money to R&D instead.

      Cons

      There is always too much work. In engineering department, too many people get no technical training. You can be there 5 years just working, working, working without opportunity for professional growth. The training budget goes to sales, marketing, and scientists.
